Lagoon Fun

Aunt Karen says I need to update the blog.  So here you go Aunt Karen, this is for you!  Sorry it took a month, but better late than never.

Our day trip to Lagoon was lots of fun.  I wish I would have taken more pictures though.
We missed the exit on our way there, like we do every year.... but we made it.
The weather was nice, not to hot or cold.
It was crowded but not so much that we had to wait forever in the lines.
We were able to get tickets through Chad's work and they provided lunch too- so that was really nice.

Jack entertaining us on the ride there.

We went on all the rides we wanted to.
We started out with our favorite Rattlesnake Rapids and got soaking wet.  the "Guy who pee's" got Sunny again (got her last year too).  It's a statue that squirts water at you.

Bad selfie on the log ride.
Jade didn't want to go, so her and Chad waited at the bottom.
I told Chad to take a picture of us coming down...  this is what he sent me.
It's a sewer line.  Get it?  "Log ride".
Ha ha, I'm married to a comedian (who is also an excavator).
But he also got these photos, so I was happy.

Jack and Chad go to go on the new Cannibal ride.  Jack had been looking forward to it for weeks. The girls waited in line for 1/2 an hour then we switched and the boys waited another 1/2 hour.  It was a crazy long line, but they seemed to think it was worth it.

I went on the "Wicked" ride with Jack and Jade.  I screamed my head off like a little girl.  Jade said she was too scared to scream.  I still have a sore throat 2 days later.

They had the park decorated for Halloween, and when it started to get dark all the zombies and creepy clowns came out.  Sunny thought she was brave enough to go into a "4 spider" rating haunted house- which we found hilarious, but didn't let her go through... she started crying on the little kid haunted house ride so we figured it would be too much for her.

We spent way too much money on dumb games to win these lovely prizes that the kids LOVE.

Chad also ran into an old friend he hadn't seen in a long time which was cool.
All in all it was a good day.

We Moved!

About a year ago we decided that it was time to move.  It wasn't easy after being there for 8 years, but it was time.
The plan was to move in with Chad's mom and build our own home.  When we sold our house (back in September) we made the 1st move.
We started looking at lots and floor plans, but didn't find anything too promising right away.
Our realtor decided to email a few listings of houses.  We decided we might as well look.
There was 1 that really stood out.  I'm still not sure what it was about it, but from the first time we looked at it we were hooked.  We decided we better go see the house in person.
Jade HATED it!  (So we backed off.)  She insisted that if we moved there she was staying with Grandma. Jack LOVED it.  He wanted to move in immediately, and set up his bedroom outside under the pine trees.
Sunny is SUNNY and she didn't care either way...

We couldn't quit thinking about the house.  After mush persuasion and bribing we talked Jade into looking at the house one more time.  She still wasn't fond of it, but seemed like she might come around eventually.
After what felt like weeks of torturing ourselves we decided that if we didn't put in an offer we would regret it.
So we did.
There was some countering, but in the end we got what we wanted.
We closed on the house back in February.
Then we waited for the kids to finish the school year so they wouldn't have to switch schools in the middle of the year (again).

And last week we FINALLY moved in.
I think we can say that we don't like moving, and never plan to do it again, until it is to the cemetery across the street.
I can't quit smiling.  Not to be cheesy, but it seriously feels like a dream come true.  No, it isn't the brand new house we had planned on... but we love it.  It is home.  Jade even decided she likes it too.

I feel like Iv'e painted so much I could puke. And we are not quite finished with the bathroom remodel.  But we wouldn't be us without a few home improvement projects.  (I'm kicking myself for not taking before pictures.)
It will probably be a few weeks before we officially have everything unpacked, but that's ok.

No sane person would ever spend as much time
sanding, conditioning, staining, sealing and painting this sucker as I did.

Everything else is too big of mess/ not unpacked enough to take pictures yet.
I will post more when I can.

Family Pictures 2014

Thought I'd update the blog this morning seems how my body thinks I need to wake up at 5:30 AM everyday.  That, and it's been way too long since the last post.

Somewhere in time I think I became technically challenged.  When I bought my Chromebook a year ago it took me a while to figure it out.  All of my pictures are on my phone... I used to just plug my phone in and move the pictures, but I haven't figured out how to do that with the Chromebook.  So I have to upload them to Photobucket or somewhere else and it's kind of a time consuming pain in the butt.
I really need to get it together though.  Seems as how I quit scrapbooking, this is kind of all I have.  Someday I'd like to get the blog printed into a book.

We FINALLY had family pictures done on the Bradshaw side of the family.  We haven't done it since the boys were about 2. It was a cold day and I felt so bad for the baby and Sunny.  They turned out pretty good though.

Poor Sunny was freezing.  This picture makes me laugh.

I can't believe my older 2 kids are almost as big as me!  I didn't realize it until I saw this picture.  How did that happen?  I'd threaten to quit feeding them, but they already don't eat.  I don't even want to think about when they are teenagers.

I actually took them into the orthodontist last week and he said he couldn't believe how mature their mouths were... Jade will probably have to have her wisdom teeth pulled next year! And thanks to Dad and "uncles" teasing/betting Jack about pulling out his teeth so young (sarcasm), his mouth is more like that of a 12 year old.  Jack could have played the part of the dentist in The Hangover who pulls out his own tooth!  Don't bet that kid anything, you will loose.

I know I have a biased opinion, but my kids are too cute.
It freaks me out how pretty my girls are, we are going to have to beat the boys off with sticks.
And Jack is a handsome little dude.
Maybe I should try to "ugly them up".
